On 3-4 September, Arter will host the Tonedmelisma Music Festival, initiated by composer Ataç Sezer with the theme “Mind and Mystic: The Heart”, at the Sevgi Gönül Auditorium. The opening concert of the festival will feature E-MEX Ensemble, performing compositions from Golijov, Bach and Debussy, as well as the world premieres of commissioned pieces by Füsun Köksal and Marc L.Vogler.

The festival focuses on developing a more personal understanding of world music, while aiming to bring together the concrete and measurable form of contemporary music reached as a result of technical novelties based on mathematical values with the mysticism rooted from culture, sound and instruments.

The repertoire of the concerts taking place on 3 and 4 September in Arter’s Sevgi Gönül Auditorium, aims to transform the traditions, meanings and ideas deriving from mysticism’s unreachable and inconceivable realm into tunes and tones, to achieve a unison of cosmic sounds.
